# Pre-requisites

Before you can install Heron Copier, make sure you have installed VC++ Redistributable (**both x64 and x86 versions**)
from Microsoft's website:

1. [Download VC++ Redistributable x64](https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe)
2. [Download VC++ Redistributable x86](https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x86.exe)

Please download and install **both the x64 and x86 versions** of the VC++ Redistributable before proceeding with the installation of Heron Copier.
