Choose Your Setup Method

Heron Copier offers two deployment options to suit your needs:

Cloud Version

  • Require much less technical expertise
  • Zero installation required
  • Instant setup (< 60 seconds)
  • No VPS management
  • 2 free accounts (more seats can be purchased as needed)

Local Version

  • Require more technical expertise
  • Unlimited trading accounts
  • Full environment control
  • Custom configurations
  • Your own infrastructure
  • Complete data privacy

Cloud Setup

Follow these steps to set up your cloud accounts:
  1. Go to dashboard.heroncopier.com
  2. Enter your license key and click “Submit”
  3. Navigate to the “Cloud Accounts” section in the sidebar
  1. Click the ”+” button to add a new cloud account
  2. Select your trading platform
  3. Choose “Master” or “Slave” account type
  4. Enter your broker details:
    • Server name
    • Account number
    • Password
    • And the rest of the other configuration fields
  5. Click “Deploy” and wait for initialization (usually < 60 seconds)
  1. Return to the main dashboard to see all your accounts
  2. Monitor real-time balance updates
  3. View trade copying activity in the logs section
  4. Use the connection map to visualize your setup

Local Setup

For users who prefer to run Heron Copier on their own VPS or computer:
Download and install both x86 and x64 VC++ Redistributable from Microsoft’s website.
Download and install the Heron Copier Connector, and then run the EA installer from the Connector app.
Add your trading accounts to the Heron Copier Connector app. Just follow the instructions on the screen.Please refer to the use cases page to understand how you can setup your master and slave accounts.
Monitor and manage your trades in real-time using the Dashboard or the Connector app.
Stay informed about any copied trades by setting up Email Notifications.

Which Setup Should I Choose?

Use Cloud Setup When:

  • ✅ You want to get started immediately (< 60 seconds)
  • ✅ You don’t want to pay and manage additional VPS infrastructure
  • ✅ You have 4 or fewer trading accounts (else, you’d need to pay for additional cloud accounts seats)
  • ✅ You want to run your accounts in an optimized environment
  • ✅ The usage of cloud copier is allowed by your prop firm

Use Local Setup When:

  • ✅ You need unlimited trading accounts
  • ✅ You have existing VPS infrastructure
  • ✅ You want full control over the environment
  • ✅ You have complex custom configurations
  • ✅ You use a prop firm that doesn’t allow usage of cloud copiers or shared IP address
