- Tradovate brokerage accounts
- NinjaTrader Brokerage accounts (NinjaTrader and Tradovate share one login and one backend)
- Prop-firm evaluation and funded accounts that run on Tradovate. These appear as Demo / prop-firm accounts because the firm hosts them in Tradovate’s demo environment. Support is confirmed firm by firm; if your firm’s login is refused on the Tradovate page, contact support with the firm’s name.
What you need
- A Tradovate (or NinjaTrader) login. You do not need to buy the Tradovate API add-on or a market data subscription; the connection uses Heron Copier’s own application access.
- The copier runs in the Heron Copier cloud, so there is nothing to install.
Connect your account
- In the dashboard, click Add Account and choose Tradovate (NinjaTrader).
- Click Connect. A Tradovate window opens.
- Log in with your Tradovate or NinjaTrader credentials and approve Heron Copier.
- The window closes and the dashboard lists every account under that login. Live accounts are labelled Live; prop-firm and demo accounts are labelled Demo / prop-firm.
- Pick the account to use as a master or a slave and continue with the usual master or slave settings.
Sessions
Tradovate allows two simultaneous sessions per login. Heron Copier uses one of them for as long as your accounts are copying. If you keep more than one other app open on the same login, for example the web trader and the mobile app, Tradovate closes the oldest session. Heron Copier reconnects on its own, but the trade copier can miss a signal while it is disconnected, so keep at most one other app open on a connected login.Symbols
Tradovate uses contract names such asMNQZ6 (Micro Nasdaq, December 2026). Masters publish the contract name, and slaves use the same contract unless you set an alias. An alias can be a full contract name or a bare product such as MNQ, which the copier resolves to the front-month contract automatically.
